NEW LOOKS, NEW PRICES:
Have you seen the news that DC is putting out about the new looks of some of their characters? Like the robot suit of Batman, maybe the crew cut of Superman, or how Wonder Woman is now fully covered and Hal Jordan has a hood? Well lets take a gander shall we....
Here's Batman from Batman/Superman #21 out in June and if this is the look that they will keep with Batman, I'm not thrilled at all.

Wonder Woman #41 out June as well shows here not showing much, which actually I like this look and just because she's not showing skin don't mean she isn't sexy, this is Wonder Woman after all, how can this woman not be sexy.

Check out the crew cut and the once again wearing a t-shirt Superman in Superman/Wonder Woman #18 in June.

And does anyone remember back in the 90's when Hal Jordan went all evil and the whole universe hated him and he changed his look? Yeah that's happening again in a story starting with Green Lantern #41 in June where he becomes the most wanted guy again and oh yeah he changes his look.

So now you know of the looks that are changing but that's not all that's changing in the DC comics. There's two other bombshells that have been dropped. One will make a characters jaw drop and the other will make readers jaw drop. The first is that Superman will be revealing his secret identity to Jimmy Olsen. This is something I and many others think is something that would have happened long ago. That whole glasses of Kent to no glasses of Superman but oh they are two different people, yeah that wouldn’t fool anyone. Go ask someone you know and see on a daily basis, not only that but is supposed to be your very close to best friend, ask them to take off glasses or put some on, are they looking so different you wouldn't know them? Didn't think so but hey it's a world of superheroes so lets go with it and now Jimmy and others will be learning of the secret.

For the reader jaw drop, that's the cover price of the $3.99 books for news stands. If you get you DC books anywhere other than comic shops then be prepared to pay an extra dollar for those $3.99 books. Yep, you read that right. If you buy your DC titles from places like Books A Million, Barnes and Noble, any news stand, news rack, basically anywhere that is not at a comic book shop or at a convention, the cover price for the $3.99 DC titles are going to be $4.99. If you want to know why they are doing this, well there could be a few reasons. Maybe the publishing companies have to pay a higher rate to ship to news stands so they have to charge more, maybe they want to have more people going to the comic shops to get their titles, or maybe they just want to start the cover price raise in a place where less titles are bought and it goes unnoticed so that before long the comic shops are a higher price also? I don't know, that's not something I'm privy to, but I can say that I won't be buying any news stand issues.
