Movie Interviews

All Nighter

In the grand tradition (well, tradition anyway) of USA Network's defunct UP ALL NIGHT, we dig through the $5 bins and OOP movie titles to find the best for those insomnia filled nights...

Alright so by the title you can pretty much guess that this is another entry from the Roger Corman B grade production house. Just as his other films of recent, this was a "hit" on the scyfy channel.

After surviving the near unwatchable Dinoshark, I pretty much gave up on getting annoyed by these films, since doing so would probably shorten my life to three months at the rate they pump these suckers out.

Despite that, I actually found myself laughing at some scenes in this movie. Though the kills were all cg, they at least had the smarts to make them look goofy as hell. Not to mention the effects are a noticeable improvement over other entries I have seen. It still looks like shit, but an improvement none the less.

Also worth mentioning is that the GREAT David Carradine graced his presence here. Though it is a little sad that THIS was one of his last films he made before passing. He may have been phoning in his performance, but a phoned in David Carradine is still charming as hell.

But beyond that, there really isn't anything else worth seeing here. It's still too long at 87 minutes, too lazily produced, and completely uninspired.

If you are someone who revels in dumb B grade cinema(though this really is more like D grade), then this will be a surefire good time, but for people who have a life, Just watch Jurassic Park.

The 5 Best

Here is the best the entertainment industry has to offer, according to our writers...
The FMA: Brotherhood series had a distinct look to it that allowed you to see it as a comical action adventure.
This is one of the few albums where I can listen to each and every song over and over again without getting sick of it.
The show is very entertaining and fun plus you get two bonus episodes and some karaoke songs.
I would definitley recommend to you as the reader to check out Covert Affairs, Season 1 and 2 (and now Season 3 on-air on USA Networks)
You should listen to this album if you are into Rock and you want to hear some good music.
