Mamoru Oshii, the director of Ghost in the Shell, returns with the beautiful and intoxicating The Sky Crawlers, a story about a young fighter pilot seeking purpose in his forgotten life.
QUALITY:
Amazing. The picture has a clarity usually not seen outside of Pixar releases.
BONUS FEATURES:
3 featurettes.
The bonus features are severely lacking, with only 3 featurettes, the most interesting of which is the interview with Oshii. Despite that, I can whole-heartedly recommend this release for any anime fan and even action movie fans that don't mind the anime look. This movie easily returns Oshii to the forefront of anime.
