AMC's 'Fear The Walking Dead' Arrives on Blu-ray and DVD December 1st

AMC just concluded the inaugural season of its The Walking Dead spin-off, Fear the Walking Dead, but fans will soon be able to watch it whenever they want. Fear The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on December 1, 2015, according to AMC and Anchor Bay.

The 2-disc set includes character bios and "A Look at the Series" featurette alongside all six episodes of the first season. It will be available for $49.99 on Blu-ray and $39.98 on DVD. Anchor Bay is also planning a Special Edition release in 2016.

Living in the same universe as The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead is a gritty drama that explores the onset of the undead apocalypse through the lens of a fractured family. Set in Los Angeles, a city where people come to escape, shield secrets, and bury their pasts, a mysterious outbreak threatens to disrupt what little stability high school guidance counselor Madison Clark (Kim Dickens, Gone Girl) and English teacher Travis Manawa (Cliff Curtis, Missing) have managed to assemble. The everyday pressure of blending two families while dealing with resentful, escapist, and strung out children takes a back seat when society begins to break down. A forced evolution, a necessary survival o f the fittest takes hold, and the dysfunctional family must either reinvent themselves or embrace their darker histories.

AMC has renewed Fear the Walking Dead for a second season in 2016.
