Prince, 57, Passes Away at his Paisley Park Recording Studio

Legendary musician Prince, whose full name is Prince Rogers Nelson, was found dead at his Paisley Park recording studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota. He was 57 years old.

Prince’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, confirmed the new on Thursday saying, "It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57. There are no further details as to the cause of death at this time.”

Recently, Prince had been recovering from flu like symptoms and was even hospitalized last Friday. His last concert was earlier this month at the FOX Theatre in Atlanta, GA. That performance would turn out to be his last, although he did make an appearance this past Saturday at an event at Paisley Park to ensure the crowd that he was alive and well.

Prince has been regarded as one of the world's best guitarists has sold over 100 million records worldwide. He won seven Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
