Warner Bros. Announces Release Dates for 'IT' Sequel and 'Teen Titans Go!'

Warner Bros. has announced that the sequel for IT will be released on September 6, 2019 and revealed that the previously untitled animation film originally scheduled for June 1, 2018 is Teen Titans Go! and will now be released on July 27, 2018.

IT has been huge at the box office so far this year with a massive gross of more than $478 million worldwide, breaking records with the biggest opening for both the month of September and of the fall. It is also now the highest grossing R-rated horror film of all time. Warner Bros. is no doubt looking to have lightning strike the same spot twice by releasing the sequel the weekend after Labor Day, which follows the same release schedule as the first film.

Andy Muschietti will return to direct the second part of Stephen King's novel, which sees the return of the Loser's Club to Derry, Maine as adults to once again battle and defeat It once and for all. "We’ll probably have a script for the second part in January [2018]," Muscheieti told Variety. "Ideally, we would start prep in March. Part one is only about the kids. Part two is about these characters 30 years later as adults, with flashbacks to 1989 when they were kids.”

No other details were given regarding Teen Titans Go!
