Susan, Lynette, Bree, Gabrielle, and Eide are back gossiping, keeping secrets, and trying to handle their lives the best they can even though nothing on Wisteria Lane is ever drama free. But when an old friend of Susan’s moves back things are going to get even more interesting. Katherine Mayfair has returned giving Bree a run for her money and hiding her own dark secrets. But nothing can prepare these ladies for what Mother Nature has in store, one thing is for certain though nothing is ever quite what it seems on Wisteria Lane.

After painting themselves in corners time and time again it finally seems like the writers for “Desperate Housewives” have regained their footing on season four. It could be because they have finally shed all the storylines that were not working, or that the character Katherine is a breath of fresh air, or they have gone back to the basics, maybe all of these things. No matter what it was though it has turned a series I was getting bored with into something that I will now tune in for the first episode of season five.

The sad part about this release is the shorten season due to the writers’ strike and the fact that they are still charging the same price as the full length seasons. I would look for it on sale to make up for the fewer episodes.
