Julie Benz plays a woman who is a bank manager, who's home get broken into and her and her daughter are taken hostage for 18 hours, but masked men who threaten her to rob her bank. In which she get accused of plotting the whole thing herself. Including duct taping her own daughter.
It is hard to believe that this is base on a true story, on how the police acted. I mean I am sure they acted better than the actors in this whole movie acted. Right off the bat I waited for the Lifetime channel logo to pop up. As said the acting was horrible, the story was flawed, it could be a good story too, but it wasn’t done right, it was done for Lifetime or USA, or Oxygen, or something. Julie Benz (Dexter, Desperate Housewives) seems like she should be a better actor than what she did, and Bruce McGill (various movies and TV shows) is an accomplished actor, who also stank it up. So maybe these actors dumb it down for indie made for TV films. Who knows, this movie was not great at all.
