I Know Who Killed Me

In Theatres:
Jul 27, 2007
Running Time:
1 Hour, 45 Minutes

Lindsay Lohan plays a kidnapped and recovered young woman who is the victim of a possible serial killer. When she is found and brought to the hospital her parents rush to meet her. But is it really her or someone else?

This film is terrible. It seemed more like an advertisement vehicle for certain products mixed with soft core porn for Lindsay Lohan. The fact that the film takes three five minute interludes to show off Lohan’s body in acts of questionable motive would be one thing if they went somewhere but they just seemed to be placed in the film for no reason. What makes the film worse is that the big killer is so easily predicted that I had it five seconds after they made their exit. Then the film sunk even lower with a slow motion moment with a gardener taking off his shirt while Lohan watches.  It just seemed so juvenile, the whole film. Almost B movie like but it took itself very seriously without an ounce of substance to stake its claim as something to take seriously.

The film felt like it wanted to go somewhere and even threw some philosophical conundrums at you. Like a serious murder leveled out with a violent football game with a close up on the crowd cheering. Maybe a social commentary on society and their love for violence. Then again the film felt so directionless maybe it was a borrowed philosophy. If you mixed the film The Number 23 and Total recall this is the movie you’d get only with a worse script and lousy acting.

The audience at the Charlotte showing made it obvious that the film was a joke. They laughed at the more serious parts of the films finale, expressed their absolute dislike for the film when it was over, and a good number of people got up and left. Even without a nod towards Lohan’s off screen antics there just isn’t much one could do not to dislike this film. Save your money.
