I've always been a huge fan of It's Always Sunny and with Season 5 it's no different. The humor is still there and all the crazy characters including Rickety Cricket, the Waitress, and the Lawyer all have an appearance. The Blu-ray, however, is simply not up to par with what we've come to expect from the format.

I actually fooled around with my television settings when I put the Blu-ray disc in because I thought something might have been wrong. It's painfully obvious to see that the show is not filmed for a high definition format. Just like A Very Sunny Christmas, the Blu-ray is simply a slightly upscaled version of the DVD and it doesn't look pretty. The images are grainy and blurry and there are even times where the screen looks stretched for the widescreen format.

Episode Commentary, Blooper Reel, Kitten Mittens Endless Loop, The Gang's Dating Profile, Schwep Dream Sequence, Archer Pilot Episode.

The Daiting Profile and Dream Sequence are exclusive to the Blu-ray. You can imagine what the Dating Profile feature is but the Dream Sequence is actually a collection of thousands of pictures gathered during production of the show and played as a stop motion video. The Kitten Mittens Endless Loop simply shows kittens running around with the adorable little mittens, just like in Charlie's promotional video.

Overall, I was very disappointed in the Blu-ray. The show itself is great but there's really no reason to spend the extra cash for the Blu-ray to only receive two extra special features. The quality is pretty much the same as the DVD. It's such a shame to not be able to watch the gang get into all sorts of shenanigans in high definition. It really is.
