Lady And The Tramp II: Scamp’s Adventure

Lady And The Tramp II: Scamp’s Adventure

On DVD:
Tuesday, June 20, 2006
Running Time:
70 minutes

Lady and Tramp have 4 cute puppies, three take after their mom and one (Scamp) takes after his dad. Scamp can never seem to calm down and wants nothing more than to have his freedom. He escapes off his chain one day and joins up with The Junkyard Dogs learning how to be street smart and make it on his own. He also makes friends with a beautiful dog named Angel that wants nothing more than to have a home. Scamp learns the hard way that having a family and a place to live is wonderful and something that he should return to.

For the most part this is pretty close to the same basic story as the first one. They have packed it with songs that are cute while they are on; but forgettable after the movie. The animation is not that bad and the fact they brought back characters like Jock, Trusty, and the Darlings will give fans of the original something to look forward too. In the end there is a little bit of question on whether or not Scamp has learned a lesson as he gets revenge on Buster the main Junkyard Dog. They have released this on DVD before; but this one only has a few new bonus features like a couple of games, and the song selection. It still has the making of, and the Hide and Seek game. If you already own the first release on DVD there is no need to pick this one up. Also unless you are collecting Disney DVD’s or buying this for a young Disney fan Scamp’s Adventure is like so many of Disney’s sequels, not really worth your time.
