If you've ever seen an episode of Life or even just a commercial, then you know how stunning it looks in HD and how perfect it would be on Blu-ray. The nature documentary has managed to capture some of the most awe inspiring shots and never before seen habits of animals. If you haven't watched it before, you're missing out.

As expected Life looks as beautiful as ever. The cameras capture every moment in stunning high definition and make it appear as if you were caught between the action. Yes, it's that good. Much of the audio is Oprah Winfrey's voice over but you do hear all of the tiny sounds animals and sometimes even plants make. Life is definitely a feast of the senses.

10 "Life on Location" featurettes, deleted scenes, and a "music only" viewing option.

While there may not be many bonus features, the quality of them is just as good as the documentary itself. The "Life on Location" featurettes are like mini-episodes with the camera crew showing how it all was possible. Also, for those of you out there who don't like listening to Oprah describe everything in her mother Earth tone of voice, the music only option is perfect.

Life is easily one of the must own Blu-rays of 2010. If you missed it's initial run on the Discovery Channel or don't get it in HD, then the Blu-ray is a perfect choice. Normally, I wouldn't recommend something that costs upwards of $70 but for Life, I'm making an exception.
