1 Hour, 42 Minutes

Little Miss Sunshine was the second movie (after Napoleon Dynamite) in Fox Searchlight's ongoing buzz-machine (which was followed-up by Juno and now Slumdog Millionaire).  Sunshine was the movei that put Fox Searchlight on the mainstream map for award-worthy material.

QUALITY:
Clear picture, clear sound.  Not exactly a movie that showcases the HD technology.

BONUS FEATURES:
Featurettes, Gag scene, commentary, DeVotchKa performance.

I interviewed the directing team behind this movie a few years back and their brilliance was somewhat understated.  The movie went on to garner them multiple awards and the movie ranked high atop many top 10 lists for the year.  The quirky cast melds perfectly with the more quirky writing.  The picture and sound quality are above mediocre but not fantastic.  The bonus features are fulfilling but the real gem here is the movie itself.
