Not Just the Best Of The Larry Sanders Show

The Larry Sanders Show

I never personally got into the Larry Sanders show but that doesn’t change the fact that it was loved by just about everybody else who saw five minutes of it.

Whatever the case, this show now has what any decent series of lasting appreciation deserves: a best-of collection. I have to be impressed by the sheer amount of bonus content you get on this thing. The content starts with 23 of the supposedly best shows out of the series and effectively explodes from there.

I’m sure to be missing something, but here’s the closest I can get to a breakdown. You get a making-of documentary, cast and crew audio commentary on some of the episodes, alternate takes, deleted and extended scenes, and a ton of celebrity interviews and featurettes. I could easily see this as a purchase if the show itself appealed to me more. If you’re a fan who only wants to relive the prime moments of The Larry Sanders Show instead of spending hundreds of dollars on the entire series, your day has come.
