Private Practice is a complete spin-off of Grey’s Anatomy, following Dr. Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh) and into her new up scaled Californian practice. Season three starts off where Season two left off with cliffhanger of if Violet (Amy Brenneman) was going to live or die. It follows the practice more in-depth into the co-workers and their involvement with each other.
I must admit I have never watched Grey’s or Private Practice prior to this. I just categorized it under shows chicks watch and sob over. I found it odd that Tim Daly of Wings fame was on this show, and Taye Diggs, wasn’t he some big male model? I did not care for the show, I go for more of the House and Scrubs type doctor shows, although I did have a brief thing for ER. Maybe if I started it from the beginning it would have made more sense. But that isn’t going to happen.
But the show itself I feel was well made; the cast seems to be well put together. Soundtrack was fine nothing to horrible, and the writing is well put together.
You get 23 episodes, on five discs for Season three, also included is a run of bloopers, as well as twelve deleted scenes, and bonus which I guess is in all seasons, is Kate’s Top 8, where Kate Walsh I guess “grades” that particular season. Comes in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, and with Spanish and French subtitles. It also is Widerscreen format as well.
