When it comes to the blues I just haven’t found many artists who get it. Its been so bad that I can sift through my blues collection and pretty much count how many blues albums by new artists I have on one hand. So having the opportunity to review Sean Costello’s new album “We Can Get Together” has been a real pleasure for me.  Sean Costello gets the blues. Though every track on the album is an original you can hear the influence of so many legends in his voice; Stevie Ray Vaughn, Van Morrison, Billy Gibbons, Taj Mahal, etc. Aside from Costello’s magnificent voice the band as a whole is perfection. Costello’s guitar work is stellar and the rest of the band follows the long standing tradition of the blues sound. If any modern bluesman deserves to wear the crown it would have to be Sean Costello. If you’re a blues fan buy this album. Not a blues fan? No problem. We Can Get Together has massive universal appeal with its soulful and passion driven tracks.
