Imagine if the crazy writer of Being John Malkovich or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind were to actually DIRECT one of his scripts. Well, that is what Synecdoche New York is, a crazy tale of a man who builds a life-size set of New York City in an enormous warehouse.
QUALITY:
Brilliant. The quality is excellent in both picture and sound.
BONUS FEATURES:
Interviews, Behind-The-Scenes
The bonus features are extremely weak as I would have liked a more in depth look at the set of the movie. Of course, the majority of the set being the actual New York City, that would have proven a bit more difficult. The quality of the picture and, especially, the sound is incredible. The movie itself gets a bit lost and it is clear that Charlie Kaufman may need others to filter his scripts before the cameras are turned on.
