What’s there to say about my favorite Pixar movie that hasn’t already been said? The Incredibles is everything that a Fantastic Four movie should have been and so much more. Packed to the gills with Pixar’s flair for visuals and terrific storytelling, this is one freakin’ awesome movie. Nearly every time I watch it, I wonder why a sequel (or at least a series of spin-offs) hasn’t been made yet. Of all the Pixar films thus far, this one seems to practically beg for sequels chronicling the further adventures of the Parr family. Alas and alack, we’re stuck with Cars 2.

QUALITY:
Pun somewhat intended, this release looks incredible on Blu-Ray. The colors pop and the sound is fantastic. The sheer level of attention to detail is stunning. The fact that you’re able to make out texture on the characters’ clothing and that the hair flows and looks alive is a testament to the creative team that animated this.

BONUS FEATURES:
This release includes all of the features from the previous 2-DVD edition, plus a new retrospective roundtable from the filmmakers, features on the art of the movie, an interactive map of Syndrome’s island base and a feature on making the end credits. It’s a veritable cornucopia of fun.

If for some reason, you’ve managed to never see or own a copy of The Incredibles, drop everything and go buy this. This is Pixar at their peak.
