The Jack Ryan Collection (HD-DVD)

The Jack Ryan Collection

On DVD:

There aren’t a lot of high definition box sets out there right now, and even less that are actually worth buying.  I would certainly recommend the aforementioned Spider-Man box set, but I would disregard the Matrix box set.  The Jack Ryan collection is certainly a keeper, consisting of a slew of action movies that will surely whet the appetite of the war-thriller junky in you.

Descent to good depending on which you are watching. The films span a long period of physical time so you’d expect The Hunt for the Red October to be the worse quality and The Sum of All Fears to be the best, which they are so not big shocker here.

Bonus Features:
The Hunt For the Red October: Commentary, Interviews, Trailer
Patriot Games: Interviews, Trailer
Clear and Present Danger: Interviews, Trailer
The Sum of All Fears: Commentary, Making-Of, Trailer, Featurettes

I know there are more features hiding in the Paramount vault somewhere that have yet to be released but, another day another time I guess.  The quality is good, better than you will catch on TV which is a great break from pre-1995 movies being released on the format lately.
