The cleaner who always stands motionless and looks directly at the camera is creator/director Stephen Merchant's father.

A couple of years after The Office U.K. had come and gone there was still a relatively large buzz about it and I figured why not. I bought up a copy of the complete series and watched every episode, some even twice. By the end of my experience I simply scratched my head and shrugged. Personally, I didn’t find it all that fantastic then and, ten years later, I don’t find it all that fantastic now. I was able to sell the copy that I had bought for about the same price that I paid for it so that made me happy. In any case having owned a previous copy of The Office U.K. The First and Second Season Plus Specials puts me in the right place to review the 10th Anniversary Edition DVD.

Not much has changed as far as the original episodes go. Their still in the same format they were ten year ago, same texture, same audio. Included in the bonus features is the Pilot episode, which was not included in the last release. Also new are episode introductions and extended interviews with the creators of the show, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, as well as a slew of celebrities chiming in on their experiences with The Office. There’s a retrospective documentary titled “Comedy Connections” as well, but that’s pretty much it. The rest of the package is everything previous Office owners have already seen. Even if I did love the show as much as the rest of the world I don’t think the new bonuses merit another purchase, maybe a rental, but that’s just me. As always final judgment is yours. Enjoy.
