Did you know?

The Persuaders! was the most expensive British television series produced with each episode costing £100,000.

The Persuaders! was a very popular show back in the day. Danny Wilde (Tony Curtis) and Lord Brett Sinclair (Roger Moore) team up to solve crimes that the local police cannot. Action, girls, and crime; all pivotal to the story...well, maybe not the girls so much.

First off, I would like to say that this is a very poorly made DVD. The collection is split into 3 'films' on 3 DVDs. I say 'films' because in reality, they are just extended episodes from the series. Another thing is that 2 of the 3 films are in black and white. Normally this wouldn't be much a problem except for the fact that the whole series was shot in color as is seen in the first film. Why they are in black and white? I don't know but my guess is that it was a goof on the production line. No matter the excuse, it shouldn't be how it is.

Errors aside, the films are average. Maybe I'm too young for the humor or perhaps too much time has passed but I found everything to be quite tacky. There are some decent scenes and the action sequences aren't bad either. Obviously, Roger Moore is a key point for this as his name alone will sell copies. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this to anyone as boththe product and content aren't that good quality. Only a collector of Roger Moore merchandise would want this as its watchable value is rather low.
