Ever wonder who you would become if you traveled to another country to live?  A woman from Boston is about to embark on a journey that she would never expect.  She is going to climb Mount Kenya but will she reach the top? She will also face other obstacles that will challenge her; the love for her husband as well as the love for her work.   Recently married Margaret was about to leave her hometown to start a life with her new husband in Africa; this is the story of Margaret, a journalist, and her new husband Patrick, a Doctor/Researcher.

The journey to Africa was the easy part, living there was another story.  Margaret is not used to the way things are in Africa. She is naive to how things work and what you are suppose to do to ensure your safety.  She sees the poverty and hears of the violence that is happening throughout the country and doesn’t understand why nothing is being said or done about it.   The beauty of the country calls to her from the perfectly stemmed roses to the wild animals that roam free.

Since her husband is a researcher and is away most of the time, Margaret yearns to do something productive.  Margaret begins to work as a consultant photographer for a controversial newspaper that is known for news reports that would not normally be put into the paper.  During her time there she meets a wonderful reporter who changes her life and she begins to doubt herself and her love for her husband.  Numerous events unfold that throw Margaret’s world into a tailspin and she vows to do whatever it takes to save her marriage.

Throughout this story you see that life is throwing Margaret a bunch of obstacles that she has to overcome.  From Diana to James to Rafiq to Patrick, how is she going to handle everything that is thrown at her and what are the consequences of her decisions?
