Artist: Robyn Album: Body Talk PT 2 Genre: Pop Label: Cherrytree / Interscope Tracks: 8 Type: LP Release Date: September 7, 2010 Discs: 1 Rating: ( )Grade: B- Factoid: An acoustic version of Hang With Me can be found on Body Talk PT 1. Beginning with Robyn: Body Talk Pt 1 Robyn has set in motion a trilogy of releases including this album, Body Talk pt. 2, followed up by Speak Your Body: Body Talk pt. 3 (Due in December). Like the last release Body Talk Pt. 2 has a majority of dance tracks with only a slight lean towards meaning in Indestructible and Love Kills where love is boasted in both its beauty and its agony. Other then that this is just an album you can throw on and enjoy without to much focus. Perfect for clubbing or just something upbeat to listen to when your in the mood. Stand out track on the album is without a doubt, and more then likely going to be Robyn’s club anthem, U Should Know Better featuring Snoop Dogg. Coming in second would have to be Criminal Intent. Toss away track is without a doubt We Dance To The Beat taking on the same kind of monotonous feel as Body Talk pt. 1’s Don’t Fucking Tell Me What To Do. In any case this follow up installment somehow feels inferior to the first Body Talk release. I can’t quit put my finger on it, maybe it’s the set up of the tracks that lacks the kind of fluidity the last installment had, but as far as a follow up, yeah, its inferior. As always final judgment falls to you. Enjoy. Track Listing: |
