We all know how Fired Up went over with audiences but how does the Blu-ray shape up in comparison to its big screen counterpart? Will we be picking up our pom-poms and give it a great cheer or saying exactly what the movie wants us to say with FU…

QUALITY:
It looks decently good in HD except for the fact that they have the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. This is the first Blu-ray I’ve seen that does this and I have no clue why, especially when some of the bonus features that are in HD don’t have it whatsoever. The audio isn’t anything special either, but then again, do you really want to hear every little syllable that comes out of these ditzy cheerleaders’ mouths? I didn’t think so.

BONUS FEATURES:
Commentary, “This Is Not A Cheerleading Movie: The Making of Fired Up,” “Double Duty,” “Gag Reel,” “Fired Up! Press Junket,” previews, and BD-Live.

The bonus features aren’t all too bad, especially when the making of the film and “Double Duty” are presented in HD. Couple that with the ability to download trailers, previews, and other goodies via BD-Live and your set. Also included is a digital copy of the film for PC, iPod, or PSP if you like, although having one copy is plenty for me. In actuality, it’s a well rounded package. It’s just too bad that the movie isn’t that good.
