Title: Gotta Catch Santa Claus Genre: Animation, Family, Kids Starring: William Shatner, Nathan Stephenson, Lisa Lennox, David Berni, Cory Doran Studio: Lionsgate Runtime: 66 minutes Release Date: October 13, 2009 Format: DVD Discs: 1 MPAA Rating: Rating: ( )Grade: B- Bonus Features Deleted Scenes, Santa Behind-The-Scenes, Sing Along Songs: “Gotta Catch Santa Claus” & “List Of My Own” Veronica doesn’t believe in Santa Claus so her friend Trevor sets out to prove her wrong. With the help of his friends Trevor comes up with a plan to capture Santa to give Veronica the proof that she needs. But it turns out that Trevor is not the only one looking for Santa. LeFreeze has had a grudge for Santa for many many years, ever since he was left out one year from getting a gift. Who will get to Santa first? And will Santa have time to finish delivering all the presents? I don’t think that “Gotta Catch Santa Claus” will become a holiday classic; but it was still somewhat fun to watch. There are a few songs that are a little catchy throughout the movie. The characters aren’t bad looking though they seem a little stiff and the CGI is colorful. The hair and what not take on a slight “Meet The Robinsons” look. The movie embraces the Christmas spirit and even teaches things like working together, it feels good to give, and forgiveness. On top of all that William Shatner is the voice of Santa Claus. A decent addition to a young child’s Christmas movie collection and is a quick watch at only 66 minutes. |
