Title: Nursery University Genre: Documentary Starring: Juliana Jackson, Layla Kieron Gian, Francesca Director: Matthew Makar and Marc H. Simon Studio: Docurama Runtime: 90 Minutes Release Date: July 7, 2009 Format: DVD Discs: 1 MPAA Rating: Rating: () Grade: C- Nursery University is a Documentary first hand look at the crazies who have the money to waste on competing against other snobs to get their kids into preschools that they believe will offer them the one up in their child’s long term educations. You follow around a few groups of people, mostly rich nut cases, and one middle class family, and get an inside look at the B.S artists who prey on these mental cases, sometimes charging them upwards of four grand just for their advice on maneuvering through the paperwork. At best the demographic for this film seems to linger in the crazies section and absolutely not for those of us who know from hands on experience that you make your own way in life regardless of where you come from. You’d think for sure the upper middle class family in the film would be some sort of saving grace but again these people just come off as loons with to much money and no sense of individualism who hope the same for their kids. It drove me absolutely nuts and when the credits rolled to end the film I felt nothing at all except fear and pity. If you don’t come from money or are so off the plot money is your God your probably going to just scratch your head at this one. To be fair it does accomplish what it sets out to do which is delve into the crazy scene of Preschool acceptance but again. What the heck is wrong with these people? Bonus features include: Deleted Scenes |
