Title: Taken Edition: 2-Disc Extended Cut Genre: Action/Adventure Starring: Liam Neeson, Famke Janssen, Maggie Grace, Leland Orser, Jon Gries Director: Pierre Morel Studio: 20th Century Fox Runtime: 91 Minutes Release Date: May 26, 2009 Format: BLU-RAY Discs: 2 Notes: Includes Digital Copy MPAA Rating: Rating: () Grade: A INSPIRATION Doing this film propelled Famke Janssen to take action in the real fight against corruption. She now serves as the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Office against Drugs and Crime. Taken was a blockbuster of a success that no one really talked about. In the slew of failed winter blockbusters and big budget stalls, Taken kept on chugging along, eventually raking in an astounding $140 million+. QUALITY: BONUS FEATURES: Taken is a brilliant movie and this release gives it the proper attention that it's been lacking in the media. The movie is a fun, fast paced and gritty action showing how one man will stop at nothing to be reuinited with his daughter who was kidnapped by a sex-trafficing network in Europe. The bonus features aren't really anything worth anything but the extended cut with added violence and neck chops, is well worth the watch. |

movie ok for me but blu-ray quality is awesome!!
Movie story is a little predictable and ok. Liam Neeson looks really awesome in this movie. He is still sexy as a dad and can handle some action. As far as blu-ray quality goes, hands down it is great! Pic is clear and vivid. There are a lot of dark and disturbing scenes but even through those scene looks really good and clear.
Sound is wonderful and crisp! especially action sound edit wow! I think you will enjoy this movie on blu-ray more than DVD.
