History Channel takes you back in time to experience aerial battles. Using computer generated reenactments you are in the cockpit trying to evade the enemy, line up your shot, and take them down. They are all accompanied with interviews from the actual pilots that lived through the battles. There is also old footage, photos, and a few interviews. You also get the history of different battles/wars and a look at the different aircraft used. Covered are stories from Guadalcanal, Korea, Vietnam, World War I, and Desert Strom to name a few.

They do a pretty good job of making it feel like you were there in the midst of it all. The CGI isn’t the greatest but it does serve its purpose displaying what the aircrafts were doing and the different formations. The interviews are interesting, full of information, and maybe have a little bit of exaggeration sprinkled in for excitement. The Complete Series covers seasons 1 & 2 and also includes “Dogfights Of The Future”.
