Kate Langford is a psychologist. She is in a happy relationship, writing a book about sex and the drive behind it, and thinks that everything in her life has fallen into place. Then while at a wedding reception for friends she meets Benjamin Chase. He has spent many years studying various animals and their mating habits out in the wild and her publisher believes that his point of view will make Kate’s book even better. From the start the two have incredible sexual tension going on and it only grows as they sit everyday listening to strangers’ risqué sexual encounters. When Kate’s boyfriend leaves the country for months and the fights between them grow, Kate and Benjamin only get closer.

There are two things driving this show the dialog and the sex. The banter between Kate & Benjamin is often witty, intelligent, and a little comical. The chemistry and tension is felt; but in order to give the show something more they fill the rest of the plot in with sex. As strangers come in to share their experiences with Kate & Benjamin for the book the events are played out on screen. It is borderline soft-core porn, breast, positions, screaming; but no showing of entry.

“Show Me Yours” I sort of look at as a middle ground for couples where one is turned on by porn and the other is turned on by heated sexual tension, good looking people, and the overall desire of a situation. Neither is going to fully get what you want but you will get enough. As far as the story itself goes if you take out the sex it has been done before; coworkers that just can’t seem to get together and therefore play the one up game to make each other jealous isn’t really new territory. Also if you don’t really care for the sex stuff the romantic storyline is a little weak in the way that they only give you some here and some there and are able to drag it out but injecting the book & sex throughout.

The ending is alright given that this is the complete series. You can tell that they had plans for future seasons but never got the chance to go for it. So there is some resolution with the promise of more events in the future. The quality is not the greatest and at times is downright shitty. I see no notes on the release and never watched this show when it aired; but based off of the generic, badly written and executed music I heard throughout I am assuming that this is yet another series that opted to put in their own replacement music instead of shelling out the cash for the music they used originally. Something that only fans of the show will probably know for sure; but others will cringe when you get to hear some horribly loud “rock/metal” song about monkey’s mating or something I think. Not good at all.

For fans sorry all you get is the show there are no bonus features.
