Full disclosure, actor Matt Rodriguez is also the Chief Editor of Shakefire
Following the release of his latest EP “I’ll Explain Later” back in June, actor and musician Peter Luis Zimmerman is turning more towards directing with his new short film, The Edge. The 2:18 short stars Matt Rodriguez as a man struggling with his inner thoughts with a score composed by Matt McLaughlin. The entire film was shot on an iPhone using the FiLMiC Pro app.

“You can say everything without saying a word,” Zimmerman tweeted in reference to the fact that there is no dialogue throughout the short. He previously directed and starred in another short film, Opened, which can be viewed on Facebook, and will next appear in Jungle Cruise alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as a Puka Michuna Warrior and in BET’s new show “Bigger” this fall.
Matt Rodriguez started his acting career working as Peter Luis Zimmerman’s stand-in and photo double on The Walking Dead. He also starred as Matty in Ralph Pellymounter’s music video for “Get Drunk. Get High.” He can next be seen playing Jesus in the Netflix film, Holidate.
