Warner Bros. just released the official trailer for the upcoming DC Comics film Black Adam starring Dwayne Johnson in the titular role as the godly antihero.
“There are heroes. And there are villains. Heroes don’t kill people,” says Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman. “Well I do,” replies The Rock’s Black Adam in the trailer before it cuts to him tossing a guy far off into the distance into certain death.
Johnson has been heavily promoting Black Adam in recent months teasing fans with behind-the-scenes pictures, but the debut trailer is our first official look at the Man in Black in action. According to him, the “hierarchy of power in the DC Universe will change.” Watch the trailer below and judge for yourself.
Black Adam also stars Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, with Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. The film is scheduled for release on October 21, 2022.
