A new trailer for Pixar’s Elemental has been released, introducing audiences to Element City and the four elements that populate it; air, earth, water, and fire. The film follows two elements, the fiery Ember (voiced by Leah Lewis) and watery Wade (voiced by Mamoudou Athie), who spark up a budding romance even though the one rule of Element City is that elements don’t mix. Together they explore all the world has to offer and learn that maybe there’s more to life than just what one element can provide.
Directed by Peter Sohn, Elemental also features the voices of Ronnie del Carmen as Ember’s father, Shila Ommi as her mom, Wendi McLendon-Covey as Wade’s boss, Catherine O’Hara as his mom, Mason Wertheimer as Ember’s neighbor, and Joe Pera as an earthy bureaucrat.
Elemental will be released in theaters on June 16 and will also include a short entitled Carl’s Date featuring Up‘s Carl and Dug beforehand. Check out the official trailer below.
