The first trailer for Marvel Studios’ The Marvels has arrived featuring the long awaited team up of Captain Marvel, Captain Monica Rambeau, and Ms. Marvel.
The film revolves around Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan having their powers entangled, resulting in them switching places whenever one of them uses their abilities. It’s why we saw Captain Marvel suddenly appear in Kamala’s room during the post credits scene for Ms. Marvel. The teaser trailer provides only a few details on the actual plot of the film, instead focusing on the whole switching bodies concept. Check it out below:
The official synopsis for The Marvels is as follows.
Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as “The Marvels.”
The Marvels releases in theaters on November 10 and is directed by Nia DaCosta and stars Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, Teyonah Parris, and Samuel L. Jackson.
