NEWS HAPPENING IN THE COMIC BOOK WORLD:
Next week the Boom! comic Deathmatch #1 will be on sale. I'm looking forward to this comic for 2 reasons. First reason, it's only a buck. That's right, this comic will be going on sale for a cover price of only $1. I miss the days of the $1 comic, and I don't mean the back issues you find unbagged and unboarded in the long boxes under the tables at the comic shops. This is a brand new comic with that $1 cover price and that's just awesome. Second reason, the comic is going into a terroritory that's new yet old for the comic world by having heroes fighting heroes.
Yeah, I know you're saying that's old, comics have been doing that since like forever. Well, that's why I said it's new and OLD but it's the new part that's caught my attention. That is they are having the heroes fight each other to the death until only 1 of them remains. That's right instead of the long used fights between heores where they fight where most of the time either something intterupts the fight leaving no real outcome or it's a draw, that's not happening. This time they have to actually kill whoever they are fighting.
Right now I can only see one downside to this comic, the deaths. I'm not saying it's bad because they will die, well not in the way of meaning the violence, but because the character will no longer be around. Which is what happens when you die, you're not around anymore, and because of that I figure there will be at least one character that I will grow to like, probably the one that's making it through most of the fights, and then boom they get killed by another hero. Actually, I would bet that I'll end up liking one of the characters, probably more that just one really, and they will be killed off.
This is one of the dilemmas with this sort of storytelling. Take the characters Hulk and Superman. It's been talked about by most comic readers, who would win in a fight, Hulk or Superman. Well, if one killed the other, then that's it, there's no more talk or wondering who would one because not only did the one beat the other up but killed him. So, Boom! is doing just that by having them die, which also makes me want to read it.

Actually, scratch that, don’t get it cause that will make all the 6 different variants I’ve already bought be worth more, no really go get this book!

RANDOM THOUGHTS BY ME FROM ME:
I saw this picture that was tweeted by President Barack Obama a photo of himself getting webbed by Spider-Man. Ok, well not the real Spider-Man but it is the real President of these here United States. This is a very cool thing for the President to do, at least I think so, and this is something that this kid will be able to talk about for the rest of his life. I mean come on, how many people in the world can say they dressed up as Spider-Man while at the White House in the same room as the President? I don't know but I'm guessing only 1 so far.
