Twilight Thursdays! Vol. 2, Issue 48

Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 has broken Twilight Saga records becoming the highest earning film in the franchise.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn--Part 1 will soon over take the $709.8 million earned by The Twilight Saga: New Moon to become the top grossing title in the franchise.

The news went out on Lionsgate letterhead, and marks the first official Lionsgate-Summit release.

Through Sunday, Breaking Dawn has earned $701.3 million globally. It has yet to open in Japan and China.

Domestically, the pic has grossed $280.3 million, putting it behind threequel The Twilight Saga: Eclipse ($300.5 million) and sequel New Moon ($296.6 million).

Conversely, Breaking Dawn is already the franchise's top earner overseas, where its running cume is $421 million. The previous best was the $413.2 million earned by New Moon. {Hollywood Reporter}

I have to admit, I was surprised! BD is my least favorite book of the series and many of my friends weren’t as eager for this installment as they were for the previous films.

According to Ace Showbiz, Robert Pattinson & Carter Burwell have been hard at work on the soundtrack for Breaking Dawn Pt. 2 We’ll again be graced to hear Rob’s talent!

The song is composed by Carter Burwell. In a recent interview with The Sag Harbor Express, he dished on, "In the movie I'm working on right now, which is 'Breaking Dawn: Part II', they needed Rob Pattinson and the actress who plays his daughter to play piano onscreen."

"Generally, I don't actually write anything until a film has actually been shot, but there are some exceptions," he said. "I had to write this duet before they shot the film so they could actually learn the parts. Rob is a musician, so he prides himself on working out the fingering for these correctly."

Looks like that one-night Twilight musical was so successful (which is wonderful, because all proceeds went to charity) that it might actually stay on! Looking at this clip, I can see why. The talent is excellent, the music is good, and the lines are funny. I’d see it!

Rob is on the cover of Russia GQ’s February issue! {TwiCrack Addict}

From after life to after life, Christopher Heyerdahl (Marcus) is moving from Twilight to True Blood!

…the long, lean and appropriately pale Christopher Heyerdahl has signed on for the next season on HBO—where he'll go from playing a high-ranking member of the vampire power club to...a high-ranking member of the vampire power club. Huh! This guy just really likes wearing pale makeup and looking authoritative, I guess. {MTV}
