20th Century Studios has released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming sci-fi action thriller The Creator. Directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One, Godzilla), the films stars John David Washington as an ex-special forces agent who is tasked with hunting down and killing the Creator, the architect of an advanced artificial intelligence that has gone to war with humanity.
The trailer offers up a lot of details to The Creator‘s story so if you prefer to go into a film without knowing much, I wouldn’t recommend watching it. I will say that based on the trailer alone, the world building and production design are looking fantastic.
The Creator also stars Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, Madeleine Yuna Voyles, and Allison Janney. It releases in theaters on September 29, 2023.
