'Glee' to Sing Two Original Songs at Regionals

'Huawei': A foreshadowing name?

As part of the Regionals episode premiering March 15, the Glee cast will in fact release two original songs entitled “Loser Like Me” and “Get it Right,” the Examiner.com reports. The leads of "Loser Like Me" will be taken by Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith), while “Get it Right” will be sang primarily by Michele. According to Entertainment Weekly, the songs will be available and featured on the latest soundtrack coming out March 8. Musical director Anders brought in acclaimed producer Max Martin to co-write “Loser Like Me.” On getting Martin to help out, Anders said, “The thing about Max is that he’s a huge fan of pop culture and he just loved the idea of being part of something that’s such a cultural phenomenon. So it was actually not hard to convince him at all. He was all about it.” Anders also stated that “Loser Like Me” is a 'Gleek' anthem. It’s a very uptempo, kind-of-summery hit.” While the cast will not likely do original music on a weekly basis after the March 15 episode, it is possible that they will in the future. During the episode, loyal Gleeks will also be treated to a number performed by the Dalton Academy Warblers, which may include Pink’s “Raise Your Glass.”
