Edward Asner joins the cast of 'Love.Meet.Hope.'

7-Time Emmy Award winning actor Edward Asner has signed on to join the cast of the indie romance film Love.Meet.Hope

Asner is most notible for his early work on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and it's spin-off Lou Grant for which he played both comedic and dramatic roles as journalist Lou Grant. More recently he voiced Carl Fredricksen in Pixar's Oscar-winning Up. Over the decades he's appeared in dozens of films and TV shows and has won seven Emmy Awards and five Golden Globes, in addition to many more nominations.

Love.Meet.Hope. is a romantic film about Morgan, a recently divorced man who is attending the memorial for his recently passed grandmother when he finds a book his grandfather wrote called "Love.Meet.Hope." Each chapter is a seperate story of his is grandfather and grandmother met and fell in love, and Morgan hopes that he'll learn something about himself and how he can improve his own love life by reading the book. Asner is set to play Mr. James, Morgan's grandfather, in the film.

Love.Meet.Hope. also stars Bradley Fowler and Amanda Markowitz. Filming is set to conclude in January 2015 and is planned to be shown during the 2015's festival circuit.
