'The Hateful Eight' producer Stacey Sher named Co-President of Activision Blizzard Studios

Producer Stacey Sher has been named Co-President of Activision Blizzard Studios, joining former Disney executive Nick van Dyk to co-lead the new Hollywood studio. 

Activision Blizzard Studios is a new subsidary of Activision Blizzard that is devoted to creating television and films based on the company's library of video game IPs. Activision Blizzard owns some of the most popular video game franchises around including Call of DutySkylandersDiablo, and Starcraft. Currently a feature film based on Warcraft  and directed by Duncan Jones is scheduled for release on June 10, 2016.

As a two-time Academy Award nominee and AFI Award winner , Sher is no stranger to the film industry. Much of her recent work has been as a producer alongside Quentin Tarantio on The Hateful EightDjango Unchained, and Pulp Fiction.
