The first shots from the set of The Sorcerer's Apprentice have surfaces. Showing Nicolas Cage in a black trenchcoat and "sorcerer's" hat, the pictures are, so far, the only inkling into what this movie is going to be like. Although the picture below is obviously a "between the takes" shot of Cage taking a water break, the first shot seems to show Cage in a menacing pose, assumingly either rehearsing or filming a scene on the transit. What does this mean? Who knows, I guess we will have to wait until next year to find out. Click on links below to see larger pics. Based on the Fantasia short, Walt Disney resurrects the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" story with this children's fantasy film starring Jay Baruchel as an apprentice of a magician (Nicolas Cage) who makes a mess of their workshop when his master is out. Teresa Palmer plays the love interest in the Jon Turteltaub-helmed production. Title: The Sorcerer's Apprentice Starring: Nicolas Cage, Jay Baruchel Director: Jon Turtletaub Studio: Disney |

Huh?
Turtletaub huh? Okay, so their taking an idea and building a film around it? I don't like the sound of this and I don't particularly like the choice of director and actors but my emotional investment in a film derived from a cartoon skit is about as deep as an original idea from Uwe Boll.
no
