Hot off the heels of Billboard 200 No. 1 album, "Tha Carter IV", Lil Wayne is going back in with a few familiar titles: second installments of both "Rebirth" and "I Am Not A Human Being." Young Money member Mack Maine told MTV News these different series of records allow for different kinds of rhymes. "He gets to show his rock side, he gets to show his gangsta side and talk to the women on one side," Maine said about "Rebirth" and "Tha Carter IV." "On 'I Am Not a Human Being,' he is definitely showing some weirdo, left-brain, 'I'm-not-from-here' type [of] side. He can say what he wants. There are no boundaries, there are no limits." Weezy certainly has his work cut out for him. While "Rebirth" and "I Am Not A Human Being" were not as well-received critically as "Tha Carter" series, both have been No.1 on the Billboard charts. Despite the pressure, Wayne places his creativity first. "He's like 12 songs in and he went crazy. He went left. He's in Martian land right now," Maine told MTV News. In other Weezy news, an '05 track featuring Mack Maine and former Young Money member Curren$y surfaced on the 'net. According to DJ Ill Will, this was one of several tracks Wayne cut with him during that session. |
