Fargo TV Original Soundtrack

“Fargo” is a movie that was released in 2006 and received critical praise and a good following. Earlier this year, FX released a TV show inspired by the movie and it was well received and done so well that they have been renewed for a second season, which starts again next Fall. Both the TV show and the movie are filled with dark humor and unexpected twists with a disclaimer saying the events were based on true events, but really never are. Shakefire had the opportunity to review TV show original soundtrack for “Fargo” with curiosity and eagerness.

When someone talked about or mentions “Fargo,” there is a certain vibe or tone that comes to mind whether you are talking about the movie or the TV show. With the 28 tracks on the soundtrack, Jeff Russo hits it spot on every time. A soundtrack is supposed to add to the mood of a scene or situation without any vocals and Russo completes this task with ease. Each track emits so much emotion and command without being too overpowering. This was a very well-rounded, but fitting, soundtrack to listen to and am giving the “Fargo TV Original Soundtrack” an “A-.”
