Jeff Beck Live in Tokyo:
The title of the Blu Ray pretty much says it all for a description but just in case you need more. This Blu Ray is the recorded live concert in Tokyo, Japan at the Tokyo Dome City Hall on April 9, 2014 of great guitarist Jeff Beck. That's all there is for a description really, Jeff Beck playing in Tokyo and it's on Blu Ray. Ok, so there can be more description as far as the detail goes for this concert but that's the broad idea of what this Blu Ray is. Though if you don't know who Jeff Beck is, you should still watch/listen to this Blu Ray because the man really is a great guitarist. The music being played at this concert is amazing and fun to listen to. Though it is a Blu Ray so I suppose you can watch it just as much as listen to it, but for me, it's the listening aspect that I prefer the most.
This concert included 20 songs and lasts nearly 2 hours, which is quite the long entertainment to have play out. Jeff Beck has been playing for years, his talent is immense, and though I won't say he's better than Jimi Hendrix, I will say that he is on the same level of greatness. The skill that Jeff Beck has is amazing and even if you have no real ear for music, it would still be heard how good he is when it comes to playing and creating music. Right at the start of this concert my attention is grabbed and held onto until the end. Track 1, "Loaded" is an aptly named for not only the song but for the whole concert. This one song is loaded with amazing guitar work being played by Jeff Beck where it got me pumped up for the concert. It also gives you a taste of the range this man can play on the guitar.
Speaking of range, if you think all you will be getting are some songs that are just lots of guitar solos, you're way off base. They are there, and this is a concert that features about only 1% worth of vocals, but the style of songs are not just guitar loaded songs. You will be treated with a wide range of instruments and styles of songs. From rock & roll to blues, funk, jazz, and even what sounds like a ballad is being played during this concert. This is what I mean by being talented, not only being able to do great with the style and genre of music that you prefer but to also be able to keep that skill level while playing other genres of music. Jeff Beck and his band does not disappoint in this concert as they play some solid songs with just memorizing sounds. Now, if you noticed the start of this review I kept saying, watch and listen, and that's for a reason. The first time I put the Blu Ray in, I watched it. I was looking at the quality of this Blu Ray, which is also good but I'll go a little more into detail at bottom of this for that part, but that first time was mainly to see what this concert was like. Though not much is really exciting going on for this concert, you're not going to get a show like these pop singers give, but what you get is a band playing music. Then on the second time I played the concert, I put it in my portable Blu Ray player, set it off in a corner of my living room, sat on the other side, and just listened to the songs. I really enjoyed this concert as a concert, though it would have been nice to have been there, but with the player across the room, it felt like a more personal concert and if I had turned off my lights I'm sure it would have felt like I was there.

BLU RAY EXPERIENCE:
Alright, this concert really wasn't the best for Blu Ray viewing. It's not that the quality is bad, it's just nothing ever happens in the concert that really requires this to be on Blu Ray. It's just the band standing on a stage that has very little light being put on it. What little light being put on the band allows for me to see the detail of the members, and the blacks and all the shades, dark areas, and everything else that could have a lot of grain in it, don't. What makes this Blu Ray amazing is the audio quality. On my television it sounded good, it's crisp, it's clear, and it's sharp. But, when I put it in my portable player, I thought it might not be loud enough for me to clearly hear, it is. The clarity of this audio and the editing of the levels is really good because I was able to level the volume level at one point with never having to adjust it and still hear it as clear, sitting across the room, as if I was sitting next to the speakers.
