JUSTIFIED:
On January 31, 1983 a man falls from the sky carrying a bag full of drugs dying instantly on impact. After 30 years the death of  Waldo Truth has remained a mystery in Kentucky but it's a mystery that all the wrong people don't want uncovered. When U.S. Marshall Raylan Givens (played by Timothy Olyphant) goes to investigate a break in of his parents house he finds the I.D. Card of  Waldo Truth in a bag inside a wall of the house. How and why it got there is just the start of the mystery of Waldo Truth that will bring in the U.S. Marshall service as well as the mafia to see who can find out who Waldo Truth is and where he is.

SEASON 4:
This has to be one of the best seasons for the show Justified that I've seen so far. In the past seasons the plots revolved around Raylan and Boyd Crowder (played by Walton Goggins) getting in fights and/or about Raylan dealing with his out law father Arlo Givens (played by Raymond Barry). That's still true for this season, there's still the feud between Raylan and Boyd going on, the hatred between Raylan and Arlo, but now there's also a 30 year old mystery involving drugs, money, the mob, and the Givens family. This season has a lot going on in it other than the main story line of the mystery of Waldo Truth, some of the minor characters in past seasons are given bigger roles that play important factors and there are new characters that take the place of some of the dead ones.

It's the character development and involvment that makes me like this show. It's not just about U.S. Marshall Raylan Givens going around beating up hillbillies and shooting drug dealers, though that does happen a lot on the show, this season was all about the characters and how they all are entwined. What I really liked was how everything that was done, said, the people that met up with each other, and everything else happening in this season all played a part in the mystery of the man with only a name but no one knew who he was. It was well written where the mystery lasted throughout the whole season and best yet by the end it wasn't what I expected, or who I expected.

Even though the season was good, one of the best years yet, with more characters and better storylines but there where also the some of the same stories happening. Such as the continuing feud between Raylan and Boyd, Raylan and Arlo, as well as having Raylan butting heads with other U.S. Marshalls. Still though, with that being said I have to say that the same story elements that keep appearing are also still fun to watch. I like the character of Raylan, he's a modern day old west style cowboy/Marshall where he is the tough guy hero that don't take anything from anyone especially the bad guys. It also don't hurt any that Timothy Olyphant does a good job with his character. There are moments that he does go a little over the top with being that unbeatable guy, which was handled somewhat nicely in one episode where Raylan is actually beaten, kind of. It was a fun season for the show with a better plot development, better characters, and the mystery making it all for a fun watch.

BLU RAY EXPERIENCE:
Justified was shot in HD digital giving the picture quality a striking look. I got to say that I was impressed with how it looked on my television. I say this because I've watched the show while it's on air with the same set so I know the difference between the look of the aired version and the Blu Ray. Which the Blu Ray wins out with it's rich colors, the good levels, and the detail on this show is amazing. Even though there is some noise in the blacks and night scenes it's nothing that messes up the picture. Audio levels are excellent on this Blu Ray where everything is clearly heard without having to fuss with the remote. There's also some good bonus features such as the deleted scenes, outtakes, and featurettes.
