Mama's Family

“Mama’s Family” is a comedy TV show that was a spin-off of “The Carol Burnett Show.” The show ran for 6 seasons from 1983 to 1990 and had over 120 episodes. The show follows Mama Harper (Vicki Lawrence) and her wild and crazy antics she has to go through with her zany family. The complete 6th seasons has the final episodes of the show and showcases the culmination of Mama Harper’s hard work.
I loved watching this show as a kid and thought the jokes held up pretty well after all these years. I always liked some characters more than others in the show, but Mama was always my favorite. You can always depend on her to give you the honest truth and quick wit for anyone trying to give her sass. Watching the episodes from the 6th season transported me back to my childhood and each episode was as funny as ever. I also liked the bonus interviews that were included, but wish they could have digitally remastered more of the episodes. Other than that, “Mama’s Family: The Complete 6th Seasons” is a treat for any fan of the show and for those reasons I giving it an “A.”
