Painted Desperation

Reward is a 5-piece band from Philadelphia, PA.  All five of the members are high school and college age, the oldest being their vocalist, Rob Blackwell, who is 20.  While they are still young they do have a lot of talent.  With a little improvement they would be really good, not that their bad. The band kind of reminds me of Smile Empty Soul in playing style and vocal style.  

 

While I did enjoy Painted Desperation, two things that would greatly improve this EP would be the quality of recording and if their vocalist took a couple voice lessons.  His voice isn’t bad it’s just not all that great and with the right training he could sound a lot better.

 

The 5 songs on this EP sounded good and would like to see if they have anything come out in the future.
