Denis Leary is one of the most famous names in stand up comedy although I admit that I've never really followed his work. That, however, is all about to change.

Douchebags & Donuts is more like a 90 minute rant about everything and everyone that pisses him off and it's absolutely brilliant. He combines songs and visuals to create one riviting performance. Leary tells it like it is and doesn't sugar coat things. If you're not on his good side, no doubt he will spew every expletive in the book at you. I suppose if you're one of the types of people he refers to as a douchebag than perhaps you won't enjoy his act as much. Then again, it may influence you to change your ways too. It's a win-win situation for society.

You'll notice that the title is "Denis Leary & Friends Presents." Leary isn't the only one to take the stage during the show. He is joined by fellow comics Lenny Clarke, Whitney Cummings and Adam Ferrara. While they provide nice segments that break up the act a bit, they pale in comparison to Leary's material, with Ferrara making the best attempt to match his sharp tongue. They're not bad; it's just I would have preferred to see the entire act done by Leary.

If you don't have a thick skin and can't take a joke, be warned. Denis Leary doesn't hold back. His topics include the Catholic Church, celebrity mug shots, and other douchebag topics. No doubt some people will take offense to this. Personally, I believe it's all in good fun.

Overall, Denis Leary creates one of the best stand up performances I've seen in recent time. The bonus features aren't any thing special but the main performance is worth the price of the DVD alone. Whether you love him or hate him, Douchebags & Donuts is something that everyone should watch.
