Die is about the kidnapping of 6 individuals from different backgrounds but all have one thing in common. They all have tried to kill themselves one time or another throughout their lives.
Let’s back up just a little. Young Jacob is only a little boy when his father coaxes him one late night to roll a piece of dice. Little did Jacob know, the outcome of the die determined if his father would kill himself or not. Jacob rolled the die and his father shot himself a few moments later. Now, let’s fast forward to the present. Jacob has dedicated his entire life to the concept that fate controls everything and the door to fate is the roll of the die. Jacob has kidnapped 6 people that have survived suicide and will now allow fate to determine if they should be alive or die.
Overall this movie was just a way to waste some time. It seemed like the creators of the movie tried to take some notes from the original Saw movies but didn’t quite make it intelligent enough for entertainment purposes. The story line was pretty thorough but not interesting enough to compare to the horror/drama films that are of today’s time.
Truth be told, I didn’t even realize until the end of the movie that the title was a play on words. You know, die, the plural for dice. Ah! You didn’t realize it either!
