Never before seen pilot of Adult Content and Comedy Central Presents Special.

Seems like Comedy Central is pumping out these DVDs of the comedians a lot lately and with this kind of quality there needs to be more. Greg Giraldo is a comedian that's probably became known more lately because of all his appearances on the roasts shows that Comedy Central does. In fact, on the back cover it states just that but if he has been around for awhile and after watching his DVD Midlife Vices it's no surprise why he has been around but it's more of a surprise as to why he isn't a bigger named comedian.
Greg Giraldo has a good stage performance; I'm not meaning his act but how he presents himself on the stage. It's one of those things that are not really talked about much when a comedian is doing a performance because most people are more centered on the act. Which the act is the main portion of the show but the comedians have to be able to handle themselves on the stage as well. Basically it would be like a basketball player knowing how to shoot the ball but don't know how to run around the court. It's about the same with comedians. Greg Giraldo tells a good joke but while he's on stage he makes the jokes better by presenting them with good body jesters and the faces he makes.
Because he is up there moving around, using his hands to emphasize what he means, while laughing at the same time the jokes he tells end up being pretty funny. Though there are a few moments in his stand up that the jokes weren't as funny as the others but even the ones that are not so funny are still funny. With 3/4ths of the act I was laughing out loud and with the rest I was still chuckling.
Aside from the cussing that's used in the act I didn't find anything really bad or off putting with Greg Giraldos act. I wouldn't recommend this act for a child or anyone under 17 but that's only because of the cussing. There wasn't any point during his act that I heard any jokes being said that I felt could be insulting to anyone. Now he still makes fun of some people but not in the way where he is trying to do shock comedy. The only thing I found that I really didn't like about the DVD was the bonus feature of the pilot for the show Adult Content. Greg Giraldo is a funny man and though his act is scripted it's nothing like the scripted act of a show and because of that the pilot fell short. The pilot of Adult Content felt more like a 30 second skit on a late night show rather than being a full 30 minute show. But with that one pilot has no affect on the stand up act, which is really funny.
