Factoid:

Matthew Lillard who played Shaggy in the two films went on to voice the character in Scooby-Doo! Abracadabra-Doo, Scooby-Doo! Camp Scare, and the new Scooby series Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated.

When I hear Double Feature it reminds me of those terrible combo DVD’s that stack two or even four films onto one disc because no one really wants any them and sell them at a bargain price. No need to worry here. The Scooby Doo Family Pack contains both films on separate Blu-Ray Discs preserving whatever quality and sound the studio’s originally intended.

QUALITY:
Scooby Doo: The picture is definitely above DVD standard. Colors are mostly vibrant, up close shots reveal very fine detail, but its not a perfect affair. Video Noise effects some sections of the film, mostly darker night scenes and colors sometimes go beyond vibrant to blurred. If you’ve owned the film on DVD your going to see the improvements. Audio is pretty undesirable with a Dolby Digital DTS 5.1, that would be the highest quality you’d find on DVD. Not bad but not great. At 20 tics sound on my surround sound is flawless but on this disc to achieve the same amount of balance I had to set my surround sound to 30 and even then the balance was a bit off.

Scooby Doo 2: A much better picture and sound but again not perfect. The definition on this disc is much higher resulting in finer detail and a better balance of color as well as a good balance between dark and light. Very little video noise, though its there. Audio comes in with a DTS-HD MA 5.1 which offers up a better, but not perfect, balance of dialogue, music, and special effects. All in all these films were meant mostly for kids so they won't notice the difference as much as an adult who is really looking for flaws will.
